Sanju had looked on course to become the highest grossing film in Mumbai circuit outside Bahubali - The Conclusion but now looks it will fall a little short due to the falls in the last two weeks. The film number will be in the 102-103 crore nett range which will mean it is the fifth highest grossing film in Mumbai circuit.
Sanju has become the fifth film to hit 100 crore nett mark in Mumbai which pretty much tells how irrelevant the 100 crore nett mark is at an all India level for major films. Bahubali - The Conclusion rules at the top and its all India figure may have contenders in the next few years but these Mumbai figures will probably take much longer to break as they are simply phenomenal.
In real value Padmaavat is probably the next best in Mumbai as it did not release in Gujarat / Saurashtra and that belt would have given the film around 30 crore nett which would take it to 108 crore nett. The top film NETT grossers in Mumbai circuit are as follows.
