Avengers - Infinity continues to dominate the box office in its second week as its second Friday opening is far better than the new Hindi releases. The best Hindi release is 102 Not Out which had a slow start at the box office of around 10-15% but this is the norm for these films and it will be about Monday as weekend growth is sure to come for the film from the low level.

The opening is on the lines of Hichki as can be seen below but a bigger release can take it past the Hichki numbers. The film only really had the nostalgia of great stars of past like Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor coming together so opening was always going to be low and its up to the content. These two starred in a huge blockbuster Coolie in 1983 which got more than 6 lakh footfalls on day one on just 240 screens and here a 4-5 times bigger release may just get past the 2 lakh footfalls mark assuming decent growth in the evening.

The other release Omerta is as expected with a 0-5% opening. The film had a disaster trailer and its hard to understand why these films are made when there is no audience for them. It will need some miracle growth on Saturday and Sunday to have a chance. The opening comparison of the opening show collections of Hichki and 102 Not Out are below.
