The Punjabi film Rabb Da Radio has done excellent business in Punjab and set to emerge a big hit. The film had a good theatrical but still these sort of numbers were unexpected as the film had no cast. Its the first time that a Punjabi film with no face value has got such numbers.
The weekend numbers are the 11th highest ever for a Punjabi film and that may not seem too high up the list but all the other films are cast films and a non cast film has not even done 50% of the numbers of Rabb Ka Radio. The collections of Rabb Ka Radio in East Punjab over the first weekend are as follows.
Friday - 81,00,000
Saturday - 83,00,000
Sunday - 1,06,00,000
TOTAL - 2,70,00,000
The film had a very limited releases outside of East Punjab circuit probably due to the face value so collections are very limited in places like Delhi and Rajasthan where Punjabi films have an audience.
