Shivaay grossed 24 crore nett in its first weekend which is a low number but the collections have been hit very badly by the pre Diwali phase. The collections on Sunday in places like East Punjab, Rajasthan and CI were the type that you would not even expect on a weekday for a big film. The metros and other big cities like Chandigarh, Lucknow, Nagpur, Indore etc have been affected by the clash as multiplexes in these areas have under performed till date. The business in Mumbai circuit is probably best with around 8 crore nett in three days. A market like CI has not even grossed 1 crore nett and this circuit would normally have been one of the best performers. The first weekend business of Shivaay is as follows.

Saturday - 8,25,00,000

Shivaay will pick up today (Monday) but it is about how big that pick up that is. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil led by 4 crore nett apprx on day one and Shivaay has to be making inroads into that lead on Monday as for mass centres it is the best day for collections of the year and eventually Shivaay has to work with that audience if it to have any chance working as a whole.
