Jai Gangaajal had a low first week of 23.25 crore nett. The film had a low weekend but got benefit of Mahashivratri on Monday at many places but collections went down again on Tuesday. The film has fared better in places like CI and UP where business can be called average but that is not enough for the film to go anywhere.

The film was expected to benefit from the media hype of Priyanka Chopra being an international star but these things don't make any difference with the Indian audience even if reports are taken at face value.
