Bajirao Mastani had a very strong second week as it grossed 54.5 crore nett apprx taking its two week total to 138.5 crore nett plus. The drop is just 35% from week one. It is the second highest second week total of the year after Bajrangi Bhaijaan and is the only other film apart from Bajrangi Bhaijaan to cross 50 crore nett in week two this year. It is also the fifth highest second week collection of all time after PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dhoom 3 and 3 idiots. Interestingly all Christmas releases apart from Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

This film is a huge hit in Maharashtra with a Mumbai circuit total of 53 crore nett plus in three weeks and this is with Gujarat giving a just a fair performance. The other circuits had been slow to start but will have good lifetime figures barring a couple of circuits.

The film is leading Dilwale by around 12.75 crore nett after two weeks though the gap in the bottom lines is much less as Bajirao Mastani has a distributor share of 69 crore apprx in two weeks while Dilwale has a distributor share of 66 crore in a similar time frame.

The film again held very well on the weekdays in the second week and the third week will determine where the film is going. It should cross 160 crore nett and the chance of hitting 170 crore nett is also there but will need a strong third week,
