A 40-something, party-loving, immature, single man, who refuses to grow up, finds out that he has a 21-year-old daughter, who is also pregnant. Right after he gets to know that Tia is his daughter, he asks her to leave and go stay with her mother.
Respecting her father's space, she leaves the house but rents a place right across the street to stay close to him. They spend time together but never encroach into each other's space.
Eventually, they develop a bond. Tia's mother and Jazz's ex-girlfriend in the film, doesn't cry or spend years waiting for her lover to come home. Instead, she gets back on her feet and raises her kid in her own hippie, messy way.
