A few years back, the mysterious death of Scarlett Keeling took place on a Goa beach. The body of the British teenager is still lying in a mortuary in the UK as the family await a nod from the CBI to carry out the last rites.
Based on this gruesome incident, producer Sikander A Khan and writer-director Shakeel S Saifee have completed a feature film titled, Anjuna Beach. Made under the banner of M.A.S.K Arts, the film revolves around Scarlett's tragic end that took place in Goa on 18 February, 2008.
Scarlett Keeling, 15, was sexually assaulted and left to die at Anjuna beach allegedly by two beach shack workers. The police had initially dismissed the case as death due to drowning. But after her mother alleged foul play, the case was transferred to the CBI.
