Tiger Zinda Hai recorded the fifth highest second week of all time with collection sof 85.50 crore nett. the collections are in the same range as Bajrangi Bhaijaan which is outstanding for an outright commercial action film and that to which has just one song in the narrative picturised on the main leads with very few light moments.
The film has really surprised with the the way it has held up till date as you dont expect this sort of film to have such legs. It does probably have a lot to do with the period and probably proves that the Xmas / New Year period is probably even better than most think. If we look at the top eight second weeks below then six of them are in Xmas releases which pretty much tells the story. It is frightening to think what a Bahubali - The Conclusion could do if that film had an open run in this period. The 600 crore nett figure could be a minimum for a film like but it did not release in this period so is a bit hypothetical.
The highest second week collections of all time are as follows.
1. Bahubali - The Conclusion - 1,42,52,00,000
