A few films released weeks back are managing to keep alive and will now end with respectable numbers at the box office as they run post the Eid releases. This made little difference to  Laapata Ladies as its run was nearing an end by Eid anyway.

Madgaon Express and Swantantrya Veer Savarkar would not have got hardly anything post Eid if the Eid releases were upto the mark but now they look like heading for 30 crore and 25 crore finishes which looked tough earlier. Laapata Ladies should finish at over 18 crore nett.

None of these films can be called successful but at least they have got some numbers up on the board and that is something in todays time. Today smaller films have more of a chance to break out if there is something in them due to the lack of releases which gives time at the cinemas but none of these three could manage that like a Hanu - Man did earlier this year.

Laapata Ladies is very niche and limited to the bigger cinemas (mainly pvrinox chain) in urban centres. Madgaon Express and Swantantrya Veer Savarkar are all Mumbai circuit with both films comfortably over 15 crore nett in the circuit. The former is Maharashtra with a little support in Gujarat while the latter is all Maharashtra. Business in North, East and Central is awful for both films which is why they could not break out.
