Pushpa is set to release in week and will get an extraordinary response with the target being the Bahubali numbers which remains the highest grossing film ever in India on all versions. There are prices going around of sales in various circuits which basically means it has to get close to Bahubali if these buyers are to make good money but these prices are always inflated especially when coming from South and that includes digital.

The Hindi collections of Bahubali - The Conclusion are not a huge ask as business has jumped now and the craze of the film is much as Bahubali - The Conclusion and maybe even more with the mass audience though families will be a different scenario. The difference though is likely to be in the South as in Hindi Pushpa 1 is comparable to Bahubali 1 but not in the South and this can be seen in the advances overseas. No doubt the advances are excellent but its not like Bahubali and if we look at Gulf the differences are huge. Bahubali - The Conclusion was the only film to hit $10 million in Gulf pre pandemic and this looks practically impossible for Pushpa 2.

The craze for the film in the South seems to have come from the hype of the film in Hindi while with Bahubali it was totally organic and this will be reflected in collections unless this time the content of the film works in South like it did in Hindi for the first time.  It will be down to the Hindi market to really push higher than Bahubali - the Conclusion if the film is to get to the 1000 crore of Bahubali - The Conclusion which is very much possible.

The Overseas will struggle to challenge Bahubali - The Conclusion as that family factor will be in play and Pushpa is more of a commercial film for the masses while Bahubali - The Conclusion had a huge family audience because basically was a family drama.

The targets are pretty straight forward for Pushpa 2 with the 575 crore nett plus in Hindi and the 1000 crore nett of Bahubali - The Conclusion in all versions and maybe the former may well be the easier task.
