Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan are basically in free fall as collections go down 25-30% for both films on Wednesday and that is after huge falls on Tuesday. The Tuesday fall was always coming as after long holiday period when you have fallen its going to be a huge fall. But here they have fallen by big margins again post the holiday.

Laal Singh Chaddha collected 1.50 crore nett on Wednesday to take its collections to 49.25 crore nett. There is a holiday for Janmashtami but that hardly matters as it hardly get much of a boost and the week might end at 51 crore nett. The collections of Lal Singh Chaddha till date are as follows.

Thursday - 11,50,00,000 apprx

Friday - 7,25,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 8,75,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 10,25,00,000 apprx

Monday - 8,00,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 2,00,00,000 apprx

Wednesday - 1,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 49,25,00,000 apprx

Raksha Bandhan collect 1.15 crore nett on Wednesday to take its total to 36 crore nett and here the seven day total looks to be around 37.50 crore nett and despite no major releases in week two the film will hardly collect in week two. The collections of Raksha Bandhan till date are as follows.

Thursday - 8,00,00,000 apprx

Friday - 6,25,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 5,75,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 7,25,00,000 apprx

Monday - 6,25,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 1,65,00,000 apprx

Wednesday - 1,15,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 36,30,00,000 apprx

The South dubbed film Karthikeya 2 is holding steady on low collections and beating Raksha Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha in Maharashtra and Gujarat and various other centres. This film will get the benefit of Janmashtami and do a first week of 4-4.50 crore nett. Maybe more as the film could really jump due to the holiday factor.  On Independence Day it looked like the film could really break out into something bigger as the occupancy at many places was very good but these occupancy rates came down post the holiday.
