Jugjugg Jeeyo was the the third best opener worldwide for 2022 after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Gangubai Kathiawadi with the first named way out in front with around 83 crore worldwide over the first weekend. 

The list below has five films and these are the only five films to get to 50 crore and over this year as far as original Hindi content in concerned. The bigger numbers have come from the South films with KGF 2 leading the way at 210 crore worldwide for the first weekend. 

There has been no film to get 100 crore worldwide for the weekend from the Hindi film industry and although this is not a huge target going by 2019 results when five films managed this feat and seven in 2018 it has become a target now. Hopefully by the end of the year there will be a few films which have manged to top the 100 crore mark. In 2023 there should be many with 200 crore being possible for some of them.

The top five films worldwide in 2022 in terms of opening weekend are as follows. The next best was The Kashmir Files at around 37 crore.
