Jugjugg Jeeyo has opened pretty well with occupancy on average at around the 20-25% with the NCR belt showing a good start. Here the film has opened better than Samrat Prithviraj and Gangubai Kathiawadi and just a bit lower than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The Delhi - Gurgaon - Noida belt will show strong collections over the day as the film will also improve very well as the day goes on. Chandigarh is also heading for good collections.

Elsewhere it is a decent start at places and low in others, mainly the hindi belts which is expected due to the look and feel of the film. Still the film has managed a bigger opening than Samrat Prithviraj at many places which is a bigger film and that is good result for the film.

The opening day will not reach the level of Samrat Prithviraj due to the Hindi belts but to be 15-20% less at an all India level is a pretty good result in terms of the box office scenario today. Also the better results are coming from areas which have potential to grow while that was not the case with Samrat Prithviraj.

This film would have opened to far higher numbers before the pandemic but the box office has changed a lot over the last two years. This can be seen by the fact that a film in a similar zone but with a bigger cast like Good Newwz opens to 17 crore nett just before the pandemic. Also there were Varun Dhawan films like Sui Dhaaga and Humpty Shamra Ki Dulhania opening in the 8-9 crore nett range and here a film which looks far superior and bigger is going to open pretty much in the same range.

The plus today is that if the film gets accepted then it runs for longer with better holds than what used to happen. This can be seen by the trend of practically all the films which have worked post the pandemic. Overall Jugjugg Jeeyo will get a decent starting point on day one and then it will be down to the merits of the film. The start may not be huge but it is so important to get some sort of decent start and Jugjugg Jeeyo has done that as many films with the same target audience of Jugjugg Jeeyo have been dead on arrival.
