Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 recorded another excellent day on Saturday as it collected 18 crore nett taking its two day total to 31.50 crore nett. The all India growth for the film was 35% but there were areas which grew much more than that. The growth in places like Mumbai city and Bangalore was more around the 50% mark with the latter being even more. This was because these places were a bit low comparatively to other cities on Friday. Delhi NCR and East Punjab also saw fantastic growth.

The biggest plus for the film is that the Hindi belt showed good growth on Saturday and that was coming off very good opening day numbers. CI is simply fantastic and leading the way for the film as it went jumped almost 35% on Saturday to 77 lakhs and in CP Berar there were single screens going up from Friday which does not happen much on a Saturday and that circuit also jumped well on Saturday.

The overall growth is 35% which is great but the underlying trend in various pockets is stronger than the growth suggests which all goes well for the film post the weekend. The film will emerge a HIT but it is a wait for Monday to confirm this and when that happens it will put the director Anees Bazmee up there with the greats as far as longetivity is concerned.

Longetivity is basically the time between your first HIT and last HIT. The first HIT of Anees Bazmee was in 1998 with Pyar To Ho Hona Hi Tha and now it will be Bhool Bhulaiyaa 24 years later. The last director to achieve something similar was David Dhawan whose first HIT was in 1992 with Shola Aur Shabnam and then Judwaa 2 came 25 years later.

The all time greats like Manmohan Desai and Raj Khosla had 25 and 24 years respectively between their first and last hits and the greatest of them all Raj Kapoor had 36 years between the last and first. There may well be other names also but the record books have to be checked and that is for another day. The two day collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 are as follows.
