The Punjabi film Honsla Rakh has a strong advance which will probably match the biggest Punjabi film advances ever as all the major multiplexes get a huge response. The advance for Punjabi films is mostly limited to the bigger multiplexes as other cinemas in smaller centres is mostly about current booking.

The film will have the biggest Punjabi release ever as it plays on over 375 plus theatres in India. It is not the biggest release in East Punjab as it will fall 15-20 theatres short of Shadaa but in the rest of India the release is by far the biggest and it could be near 400 sites by release time.

The overseas release is also the biggest ever as it will be screened on 325 sites which means around 700 plus sites across the world. Honsla Rakh is sure to get the biggest opening for a Punjabi film post the pandemic as it will get the benefit of Dusshera holiday. The numbers are also going to be excellent in Delhi city as the advance is solid and never has a Punjabi film has so many screenings in the capital.

Venom - Let There Be Carnage opened today (Thursday) to a fair response. A lot will depend where the film goes in the South and the evening shows should benefit in Delhi and Kolkatta as there is a big holiday tomorrow. The problem is there is limited awareness of releases at the moment in Hindi circuits outside a few cities and on top this is a Thursday release which makes overall business tough.
