There were two Hindi releases this week with Kaagaz and 12 O Clock and it was a zero response. Kaagaz released in UP while 12 O Clock released all over. The response for these films would have been pretty much nothing if was before the pandemic so this is pretty much as expected for the present.

Kaagaz released in UP on Thursday with Ghaziabad getting the most cinemas but the problem here is it might be a UP film but if the film was to get any collections from the Delhi / UP circuit they would have come from Delhi and Noida and it has not been released there. There are no takers in UP state (outside Noida) for this type of cinema. The film has been released on OTT platform Zee5 but as the reach of the platform is probably limited in UP and the film is set there it has been given a theatrical release in UP but to no avail.

12 O Clock released to very poor houses and will not really get any collections. The film is made by Ram Gopal Verma and there was a when some of his films fared well in Mumbai and South but those days are gone now and there is no audience in Mumbai and South circuits for his type of cinema. 

Last week there was release named Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi which collected under 25 lakhs nett over the week and this film also had no hope as this sort of stuff is to be watched for free if anyone wants to watch. Simply this sort of stuff is not for cinemas but at the moment cinemas have no choices. Actually most people will not watch this sort of content for even free.
