The death of Sushant Singh Rajput has a bought a few things into the fore with nepotism being at the top of this list. But as mentioned before this is not really a debate as its a soceity problem and the film industry is a part of society. Pushing friends and family forward is not a crime and in some cases it makes economical sense also. It maybe at the expense of the others but thats the case in every field.

The issue of blind items has also come to the fore. These are negative articles about an artist done by the media to paint a certain picture without naming the actual artist. The name is withheld as there is little proof and it the articles screw the artist. The writers who do such things are scum and now its the public bringing this to the fore so the industry has a chance to disassociate itself from this scum.

The death of Sushant Singh Rajput is not something that is discussed in all households of India but in the digital world and social media its become a monster and the film industry decided to be a part of this digital and social media world so has to take note. The industry did not have to be a part of this world as cinema is about that Friday and the lights going out and that audience making and breaking careers so even without digital and social media it would have prospered but this is a story for another day.

Now the scenario is that the industry is in the digital world and so is the media scum. The main question will be is when things normalise after Covid 19 will it be business as usual with actors associating themselves with this scum which indulges in this sort of journalism of fellow artists which will show these actors in very bad light especially as many of these blind items were of an actor who is no longer alive. Common sense says they will stay away as they will be asking for trouble if they dont with huge negativity. Its also there that negativity can never harm a good product but why take the risk of negativity that will come because of the scum.

Its also there that negativity can never harm a good product but why take the risk of negativity that will come because of the scum.

Some of this media scum may even give reviews so the PR companies will bring them in for promotion for that extra star which is actually worth nothing as most of the audience does not care for reviews. The biggest blockbuster ever Sholay got poor reviews, the biggest Hindi blockbuster of the last two decades Gadar got bad reviews (being a patriotic film probably a big reason) and last year Housefull 4 got the worst reviews and ran in cinemas for 9 weeks and then smashed all records on television. On the other side a poor film like Gully Boy which is hardly liked outside 3 cities gets better reviews than a much liked Kabir Singh. Forget Kabir Singh it gets better reviews than Avengers Endgame and this can only happen in India. Basically this is the worth of reviews to the audience who go by their own likes and dislikes.

The media which gives stars to film which are hardly liked is dum and the one which indulges in blind articles of artists is scum. Some will actually be both combined, scum and dum. The industry will have to accept there is a lot of negativity towards it at the moment but it has to remember its about the Friday and not what is said and that could be the media, social media or elsewhere. Still the industry will have to step carefully when films return as the last thing the major stars can do is use the media which was screwing Sushant Singh Rajput without actually naming him as its pretty certain that the digital world will know who the culprits were be it people or portals and it will show industry in more bad light. There will also be some  who were very negative on Sushant Rajput while he was alive and then gone the opposite as the wind was flowing that way but social media will also have caught this. Its weird that these artist associations are quick to ban people involved in MeToo and some without accusations being proved and even Pakistani artistes who are pretty much harmless but nothing is done about the scum media.

On a lighter note this website has also done many negative articles mainly due to the bad cinema dished out in the last 10-15 years so had to go through a seventeen year history to make sure there were no blind type articles and thankfully there were none towards the industry. Funnily enough two did come to notice a few years back but it was not related to the industry as such. These were about someone who did not name this website but called it an ill informed source so you have to pay back in the same way and not name the person but point out what they do. The second one came as the guy actually responded to the first one with some studipty  These articles can be read again below.
