Bala showed excellent gains on Saturday as it grossed around 15.50 crore nett taking the two day collections to around 25 crore nett plus. The growth is around 60% which should mean a good hold on Monday and a HIT film.

The growth is less than Dream Girl but that is probably because that film was very good in Delhi NCR and East Punjab and these circuits grow the most on Saturday. Also Dream Girl was low in Mumbai and collections doubled there on Saturday. Bala had a better start than Dream Girl in Mumbai by around 30%.

The trend is similar to Dream Girl but that will only be known on Monday as that is when the actual trend comes into play because Saturday growth is big now for most films. Dream Girl grossed 43.22 crore nett over the first weekend and that will probably be the target for Bala.
