The Diwali Housefull 4 has collected similar numbers to the 2017 Diwali release Golmaal Again. Housefull 4 is in a race against Golmaal Again to become the highest grossing comedy film in terms of NETT collections. Beating Golmaal Again in terms of GROSS is a tougher task and the film will have to hold phenomenally well from here on.  

 

 

The difference between the two films is that Housefull 4 had an opening weekend that was pre Diwali and Golmaal Again was released post Diwali and this is what gives Housefull 4 a good chance of beating Golmaal Again though normally for a 2019 film to beat a 2017 film you would have to do a better first week as the sustaining power of movies goes down every year.  Golmaal Again had better collections in Mumbai circuit as it is a bigger brand in this circuit and the lead is a healthy 8 crore nett but in all the other circuits Housefull 4 leads though some circuits are very similar. The biggest leads for Housefull are in the East and South. The Eastern circuits are now bigger circuits compared to a couple of years back and in South there is not much of an affect of pre Diwali so there Housefull 4 got good weekend numbers.
