Malaal collected very poorly in the first week with just 2.75 crore nett. Similar films like Loveyatri and Notebook were 11.14 crore nett and 3.91 crore nett in their respective first weeks. Also most of the 2.75 crore nett for Malaal has come from Mumbai circuit due to a very Maharashtra feel to the film while other areas hardly have any footfalls.

Article 15 has had a steady second week as it collected aroudn 18 crore nett. The drop is under 50% from the first week and this is good considering it probably lost aroudn 1 crore nett due to the cricket. The film has collected 52 crore nett apprx so far and looks set to be a HIT as long as the third week does not drop heavily.
