Malaal and One Day have opened to very dull houses across the country. Both film have struggled to get an audience. Malaal which is a from the production house of Sanjay Leela Bhansali managed to get some shows probably due to the name of its banner though looking at the disaster trailer it does not deserve 4 shows at multiplexes which some multiplexes have given.

The trailer was a total disaster and on top newcomers who did not look that good and audience is bound to stay away. The film looked a Marathi film with newcomers rather than a Hindi film with newcomers. The fact that the film produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali hardly matters and that is the case for every big production house as to the audience its what they see and not who is behind it.

One Day has a far weaker release than Malal but if the latter was not from a big production house then the release would have been similar. Both films are likely to have disaster numbers on day one that even multi-fold growth was to come it is hardly going to take them far.
