De De Pyaar De has a pretty good first week as it collected nearly 57 crore nett after ordinary weekend numbers as the film did not open that well. It has held well over the weekdays but there was a noticeable drop on Thursday which could be a case for concern unless Friday holds strongly.

The drop on Thursday was almost 20% and that is a big drop for a film which is doing collections in that 5 crore nett level. The drop is a surprise as it held up strongly over the Mon - Wed period. It is possible that the drop is there because the election results came out which meant a lot of the public was following that yesterday.

The second Friday is all important and it due to this Thursday drop it cannot afford to drop a lot if the film is to emerge a HIT.  The business and trend of the film is similar to Raid, the cost is also similar to Raid with the UK subsidy compensating for a higher production budget due to overseas shot film.
