De De Pyaar De is set to emerge a HIT film even though the growth on Sunday was limited. The all India growth may be limited but the business in Mumbai / Gujarat tells the real story and this circuit has big growth on Sunday with collections going up 30% in the circuit and 50% in Gujarat / Saurashtra. The weeeknd business is 36 crore nett including the Thursday previews.

Basically elections in some parts of the country held the film back otherwise the film would have consolidated the Saturday growth with a further 30% on Sunday. The weekend figures are lacklustre but the trend is strong on Saturday and Sunday and if we go by the three numbers in Mumbai circuit it will sustain on Monday and it remains to be seen at what level.

The business is not too good in mass markets but Mumbai, Delhi NCR and East Punjab will do good to very good business over the long run going by the weekend trend. The business of De De Pyaar De till date is as follows.

The weekend numbers are low for an Ajay Devgn starrer as Baadshaho(2017) had better numbers and the collections are not that much better than films released long back like Son Of Sardaar and Raajneeti but the industry will have to get used to disappointing openings as the cinema coming out from the Hindi film industry is not penetrating mass audiences and even if by chance a film is good it is holding only regional appeal and not across all Hindi markets.
