De De Pyaar De found it tough going on the first day with collections in the region of 8-8.5 crore nett. The film has one of the lowest openings for an Ajay Devgn starrer in recent times. The opening day number is very similar to Luka Chuppi with main multiplexes doing less but other multiplexes and single screens doing better but Luka Chuppi was a smaller film.

Last we saw Tiger Shroff go out of zone and do a campus love story and the opening day was just decent, this week Ajay Devgn went out of zone with a Rom - Com and the collections are even worse. Here the fans were not just interested so circuits where Ajay Devgn films outperform are very low. The plus is the reports are better compared to Student Of The Year 2 with the big city audience so the neutral audience in these places may take the film somewhere unlike Student Of The Year 2 which had poor reports.

The opening is 50% of Total Dhamaal released in March with far lower collections across the board. The film should show good growth tomorrow in the big multiplexes but its going to be about the Monday as the weekend business is going to be average at best unless Saturday doubles up or something close to that.
