The film PM Narendra Modi was supposed to release today (Thursday)after being postponed last week due to some censor issues but now it has been banned by the Election Commission till the elections are over. The film is being given far too much attention because the biggest fact is that not many people will watch this film.

It is ridiculous to even suggest a film of this sort can have any bearing on an election. The opposition party has been trying to get this film banned since the trailer released but they should at least watch the trailer properly and see the last thing this film can do is push an election in anybodys favour.

The audience today will not pay big bucks (which it has to due to high ticket rates) to see this sort of cinema which is a biopic of a politician with mass elements put into the film. The biopics which have worked have generally been made for the urban crowd and to their sensibilities and this film is definitely not in that mould.

The few that will watch will not even take the film seriously let alone get impacted to vote for the Prime Minister on whom the film is based on. The footfalls of this film can be 10 lakhs and lets say it does double that it still hardly makes a difference to the bigger election picture.
