The Punjabi film Qismat has emerged a huge HIT as collections were rock steady on Monday after a strong weekend. The film dropped just 25% on Monday from a good start on Friday. it went over the 1 crore nett mark on Monday which is always the target for a film if it is to become a major grosser in Punjabi. 

The weekend of the film was the fifth best of all time and here we are taking GROSS collections as to compare past films then GROSS figures have to be used. The top five weekends are now Carry On Jatta 2, Sardaarji, Sardaarji 2, Manjhe Bistre and Qismat.

The film has chances to be among the top five Punjabi films of all time but it remains to be seen how it goes in week two. The Punjabi film industry has seen only comedy films succeed this year and Qismat will be the first film to score at the box office which is not a comedy film.

The first four day collections of Qismat across India are as follows.

Friday - 1,39,00,000 

Saturday - 1,72,00,000

Sunday - 1,89,00,000 

Monday - 1,03,00,000

TOTAL - 6,03,00,000 

There will be a major Hindi release for competition this week with Sui Dhaaga but the Monday figure means Qismat has been accepted  so it will not affect the run of Qismat that much.
