Gold and Satyameva Jayate have made it a better picture for the opening days of 2018 with now six flms over 15 crore nett and three films over 35 crore nett and Sanju being over 30 crore nett. The combined figures of Gold and Satyameva Jayate hit close to 44 crore nett making the highest opening day ever if we combine the totals of both films. Though its a sure shot that this figure would not have been touched if just one of the films released. A 50 crore nett plus number is out there for the big budget film coming on the right day.
Gold was the third biggest opening day of 2018 and Satyameva Jayate was fifth as the latter edged out Padmaavat. Even though Padmaavat was not released at some places on day one but it still had a far higher screen count than Satyamev Jayate. independence Day is one the big six holidays which includes the holidays for Eid, Diwali and Xmas and then Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti. The top opening days of 2018 are as follows
