Race 3 has had the 12th highest opening day collection in terms of NETT collections and is the fifth highest non holiday opening ever after Bahubali - The Conclusion, Tiger Zinda Hai, Dhoom 3 and Dangal. Though in fair value it will be the second or third biggest opening day ever as the other films were normal days while Race 3 has come on Pre Eid which keeps some of the audience away.

The top twenty opening days are dominated by Salman Khan starrer with nine of the top twenty films being Salman Khan films. Aamir Khan has three films while Shahrukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan have two each. It means that Salman Khan has the same number of films in the top twenty as the other four put together. The other spots are filled by Bahubali - The Conclusion and Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2.
