Tubelight has emerged the third biggest opener worldwide in 2017 after Bahubali 2 and Raees. The film has managed to cross 100 crore but the last Salman Khan film which had the weekend fall in pre Eid was Kick in 2014 and that film had an opening weekend worldwide gross of 125.55 crore while here Tubelight is 109 crore apprx

This opening weekend in India is good but the Overseas weekend is low as US / Canada has not performed while Gulf and United Kingdom have a huge a muslim population which will come out on the weekdays. The film has a better three day weekend in India than Raees but its the opposite in Overseas and that is what keeps Tubelight below Raees. Bahubali - The Conclusion is another monster altogether and is the biggest worldwide opener alongside Sultan . Below are the top ten worldwide opening weekends of 2017.
