The story revolves around gangster Thakur Ajgar Singh, who conspired to murder his enemy, Police Inspector Jagdish Chander, leaving Chander's two young sons orphaned. The elder son, Avinash, is adopted by his father's colleague, while the younger son, Brijesh, also known as Birju, sets out to avenge his father's death by targeting his murderers. However, Birju is taken in by the Bad Guy Lawrence (Goga Kapoor) after being caught with blood on his hands.

The elder brother, raised as a good man, follows in his father's footsteps to become a police inspector, while the younger brother, Birju, falls into a life of crime, ending up in jail. After his release, Birju attempts to rob a store, continuing his life of crime. How these two brothers eventually cross paths again forms the crux of the story.
