Q. Will we keep on having to watch these sequel and series films as that is what is getting recycled nowadays, can these ever flop or will they always be sure shot hits encouraging studios to make another one?
A. Anything can flop and so can these if the content is not right. The sequel and series films which work are the ones that are good in content and give the audience what they come for. The Dhoom series is all about the going up a level be it the stunts or a bigger star. The Housefull and Golmaal films work because the directors of the films bring in their brand of humour and that humour works in a big way. Dhoom 3 will release next year but if the stunts are not more exciting than Dhoom 2 or Aamir is not a notch above what Hrithik was in the last film then the series becomes in trouble. Similarly if the audience does not get the humour that they are coming for with likes of Golmaal and Housefull then these will also fade out.
