Satyameva Jayate 2 could not find an audience as it collected 9.50 crore nett over the first weekend. The film sent shock waves in the industry on Thursday with the initial and OTT word came back in fashion and that being the right way to go with such low box office collections.

The problem was the merits of the film and the audience probably saw that and in the present condition of the market is that a film which the public does not want to see will be hit hard while a film which looks good will do business pretty close to what it would do pre pandemic. Overall the box office in all circuits is healthy and its down to the merits of the film.

There would have so many films which would have suffered this fate but went to OTT where you escape the actual fate and get some returns on the film. The main reson for OTT is solid revenue coupled with the fact that the knowledge that the box office may be a step too far for the film as there are not many who will want to miss the box office glory if they feel it can be achieved.
