Fukrey Returns is easily leads the box office despite being in its second Friday as all the new releases fared very poorly. There were many Hindi films that opened today like Dhanlaxmi, Ek Andekha Sach, Game Of Ayodhya, Hare Krishna, Haunted Villa Lonavala, Journey Of Bhangover, Monsoon Shootout, My Friends Dulhania and Office. That is nine releases and there could be a couple of more which may have started their box office journey in the East. All films will not be going anywhere and Monsoon Shootout has the best release of the lot it will also have very low first day collections.

There was Star Wars - The Last Jedi from Hollywood which has the best collections of all the films released this week but as this franchise has little value in India the collections are poor and no match for Fukrey in terms of occupancy. The collections could be a little higher than Fukrey Returns due to more metro shows and 3D pricing. Its not just recent Star Wars films which have not done well but even the originial films like Star Wars (1977) and The Empire Strikes Back (1980) were huge flops in India. 

The new releases this week have taken the release count to 240 Hindi films for 2017 which is a new record and with two weeks left in the year it can be 250 releases.
