Naam Shabana had a low first week of 26 crore nett with dropping collections on weekdays especially on Wednesday. The film managed to get a little lift on day one due to the presence of Akshay Kumar and even showed good growth on Saturday but with the film still running to low occupancy it needed to step up on Sunday which did not happen. The film was a spin off of Baby (2015) but that film itself did not do well at the box office and was a disaster on television post release. So if the first film had hardly any appreciation, how a spin off can be expected to succeed only god knows.

The weekdays were also aided by a holiday for Ram Navmi but after that it was all downhill. The film has fared better in Mumbai with business of 8 crore nett which is more than the lifetime business of all 2017 releases barring Raaees, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Jolly LLB 2 and Kaabil. The weak competition should allow the film to cross 30 crore nett but that hardly means much.

Phillauri had a big fall in the second week as collections fell 82% as it grossed 3.75 crore nett. The total business of the film is 24.50 crore nett in two weeks. It will do less business than even Naam Shabana with a little over 25 crore nett. The film has managed AVERAGE business with a 6 crore nett plus finish in East Punjab thanks to Diljit Dosanjh.
