The general problem is that barring Badrinath Ki Dulhania none of the first films of the other releases had much appreciation in that sequel / series could be made. Kahaani (2013) was a HIT but a big flop on television so it was a film which was dead after its theatrical run which meant a sequel was not supposed to happen. The others were even worse than Kahaani and no way should have had sequels and the results show that.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania was only film out of the above where its first film had some likability and did well enough on television despite a cast which was not as big it is now. This gave the second one a chance and it had done much better which keeps the band alive though television also has to show results.
Now in May there is Sarkar 3 and this film is not on the Badrinath Ki Dulhania path as the first two films were not liked. The first one did well in Mumbai and South but doing well in a couple of circuits and appreciation are two different things.
