Badrinath Ki Dulhania had a good first week of 72.25 crore nett which is in the same range as Jolly LLB 2 which grossed 72.98 crore nett. The business is also in the same range as ABCD 2 (71.87 crore nett) which is the highest first week for a Varun Dhawan starrer outside the Shahrukh Khan led Dilwale. Badrinath Ki Dulhania had a good weekend but was affected by pre Holi in many circuits but made up for that post Holi over the weekdays. The film is HIT already and has all chances of becoming the biggest HIT of the year as it chases the business of Jolly LLB 2 which is the biggest HIT of the year so far.  The business of Badrinath Ki Dulhania (Hindi) till date is as follows.

The competition is weak this week with films like Aa Gaya Hero, Machine and Trapped so the film will still be leading the box office race but a strong hold is important if the film is really to benefit from the fact there are no high profile releases for the next 5-6 weeks.
