Shivaay is fighting back on Monday in the big Diwali box office battle. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has seen the battle go pretty much its way over the first three days back but for the first time since Friday but Shivaay has come into the picture going the morning and afternoon collections of Shivaay on Monday. The first three days saw Shivaay have low business in the metro multiplexes as Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was first choice in these centres but on Monday the strong business of Shivaay outside the metros means that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is unable to grow much be it a Ludhiana, Lucknow or Latur and the first two mentioned are big A centres while Latur is a B centre. Below is what is happened on Friday and what is happening today (Monday) in the different tier centres of India of business.
Friday
Metros (Mumbai, Delhi etc) - Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
A centres (Ludhiana, Lucknow, Jaipur, Surat etc) - Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (75% of them)
B Centres (Ajmer, Gwalior, Bareilly, Akola etc) - Shivaay (75% of them)
C centres ( Mhow, Patan, Miraj, Jaunpur etc) - Shivaay
Monday
Metros (Mumbai, Delhi etc) - Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
A centres (Ludhiana, Lucknow, Jaipur, Surat etc) - Shivaay (75% of them)
B Centres (Ajmer, Gwalior, Bareilly, Akola etc) - Shivaay
C centres ( Mhow, Patan, Miraj, Jaunpur etc) - Shivaay
The key are the A centres which were generally dominated by Ae Dil Hai Mushkil on Friday but its the opposite on Monday where now Shivaay is generally ahead. The metro domination of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil should still keep it ahead though where it was 45% ahead on Friday the gap could be reduced down to 10-20%. The clash has materialized on Monday and it could be very interesting over the next few days or so especially if Shivaay makes more strides like this tomorrow as well.
