The opening day collections in US / Canada are actually the best of the year as Sultan had a Wednesday release and grossed $500,000 while it is $700,000 apprx for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The Friday figure was $660,000 for Sultan which is also beaten. The film is also excellent in United Kingdom with nearly £200,000. This is a dead market today but these numbers are huge as Karan Johar is a major name for Hindi films in United Kingdom due to films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan.
