Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has finished around 4 crore nett ahead of Shivaay on day one though Shivaay has probably been affected more by pre Diwali as its a mass film. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has put up very strong numbers in South India as there the collections are not affected much by pre Diwali festivities. The figures in Nizam / Andhra and Mysore are huge for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with the former close to 1 crore nett and the later around 1.25 crore nett.

 

The main gap between the films is coming in Mysore and West Bengal as Mysore has collected four times more for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and and West Bengal is more than double. These circuits don't perform well for mass films unless its a Khan and for a mass film the shortfalls of these areas have to made up in mass circuits but with pre Diwali that becomes a huge task.
