Pink should continue to dominate the box office as the new releases look weak though there are many of them. The likes of Banjo, Days Of Tafree, Parched, Wah Taj and Yeh Hai Judgement Till Hanged among others will release it will be the first named which has some awareness. The film may get some collections in centres of Maharashtra in which ever circuit the fall be it Mumbai, CP Berar or Nizam. The rest of the country is very unlikely to have many takers even if the content is decent as it looks like a regional film rather than Hindi film. Maharashtra could be giving a 50% ratio for this or even more when on average it ranges from 25-30%.
Parched has put up record figures in France and Spain for Indian films with $1.1 million apprx in France and $250k apprx in Spain but that will not matter much in India as the markets are miles apart. Pink needs to go over 2 crore on Friday to emerge a HIT which it should get comfortably as Wednesday again held very steady collections. The film will continue its strong business at high end multiplexes into week two while the business outside the metros should remain steady though at low levels the film is behaving better then Neerja on the weekdays but that had tax exemptions kicking in from the second week onward.
