Rowdy Rathore collected around 5 crore nett on its 8th day which is the third highest collection ever for day eight beating Ready, Housefull 2 and Golmaal 3. The only films to have collected more on day eight are Three Idiots and Dabangg.

All the above had films (Three Idiots, Dabangg, Ready, Housefull 2 and Golmaal 3) had open weeks while Rowdy Rathore had competition in the form of Shanghai. Although it can be said the competition given by Shanghai is no different from an open week as it not done well and has little appreciation but it has affected the screen space for Rowdy Rathore at multiplexes in its second week.

Rowdy Rathore should cross the 20 crore nett mark in its second weekend. Sunday will be huge for the film and will be interesting to see what sort of growth it puts up on Saturday.
