Department has seen the lowest first week collections for a film opening on 1500 screens or more. The film has collected 11.50 crore nett in its first week.

Before Tezz all films that managed to get a 1500 screen release had managed to cross the the 20 crore nett mark for week one even films that did not do well like Players and Force.

Tezz recorded 14.50 crore nett first week which was the first time that a 1500 screen or more release remained lower than 20 crore nett and this week Department has managed to go even lower with a 11.50 crore nett first week.

The year started with a disaster in the form of Players but the first week collections of Department are a huge 45% lower than Players.
