The Dark Knight Rises had an excellent opening in its English format and a good opening in its dubbed versions. The opening was lower than The Amazing Spiderman as dubbed version business was lower and a lower screen count. Business in South India was best especially Bangalore. The reports are mixed and it is likely that only English versions has chances to score in India.

The openings of Challo Driver, Gattu and Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai were awful and all three are box office disasters. With The Dark Knight Rises, Cocktail, Bol Bachchan and regional films doing well, these films hardly got a any theatres to be screened.

Cocktail fared very well in its first week collecting around 54.75 crore nett. The multiplex business was excellent while single screens were below the mark. The film should do well in its second week and cross the 80 crore nett mark for lifetime business. HIT

Bol Bachchan held up well in its second week despite strong competition. It grossed 22.75 crore nett in its second week taking its two week total to 83 crore nett. Bol Bachchan will do nett business in the Singham range but its distributor share will easily cross the the share of Singham.
