The Jungle Book grossed around 27 crore nett in its second week and has become the highest grossing Hollywood film in India. The film has beaten the 96 crore nett apprx of Fast & Furious 7 last year. The film has also crossed the 100 crore nett mark at around 101 crore nett.

The second weekend is huge and higher than all Hindi films released in 2016. Airlift which had the highest second weekend grossed 28.75 crore nett in the whole second week. A feat which The Jungle Book will achieve in just four days in its second week. The business is even more commendable as it came against a Shahrukh Khan film Fan.

The film will also beat the lifetime business of all Hindi films released till date this year and it will no surprise if it challenges the 150 crore nett mark. The film is the first all India hit of the year. It will beat the business in most of the mass centres despite that having a mass star like Akshay Kumar starrer and The Jungle Book being dubbed which is a hindrance in mass markets barring a few exceptions.
