Airlift has a clocked  a huge Monday at around 10.25 crore nett as per early estimates. It is the first time that an Akshay Kumar starrer has hit the 10 crore nett mark on a Monday as Rowdy Rathore had grossed 9.25 crore nett on its first Monday. The film had ticket rates held at weekend rates due to the holiday on Tuesday at many multiplexes which has helped business on Monday by 10-15% but even allowing for that its a huge Monday.

The film has now grossed close to 53 crore nett and Delhi NCR and East Punjab seem to be on a huge run as many multiplexes top first day numbers although test will be Wednesday as to how strongly it is going to sustain in the long run.

There would normally be 50-60% growth on the national holiday on Tuesday but as the film has put up a fantastic Monday that may be difficult but even with more modest growth, an 80 crore nett first week is there for the taking.
