Dilwale has had a huge first week of close to $13 million (86 crore)  in Overseas. The business is good in US / Canada but fantastic in the other markets especially Gulf and United Kingdom. The figures are similar to Bajrangi Bhaijaan in week one but that got the Eid advantage in various markets in the first week while here the Xmas factor is still to kick in.

The film is already the second highest grosser of the year already in some markets. The Gulf figure has easily gone over $4.5 million while Prem Ratan Dhan Payo had grossed $4 million in its complete run. The Gulf figures of Dilwale will cross last years Christmas release PK in the next two days.

The film may have fell short of first week figures of other Shahrukh Khan starrers like Chennai Express and Happy New Year in India but Overseas is far ahead as Happy New Year was around $10.75 million and Chennai Express was $10.25 million. The film is heading for a $20 million plus total and this despite not a great performance in US / Canada.

Bajirao Mastani has also done well in Overseas with figures of around $6.5 million in week one. This is especially good as it had competition of a Shahrukh Khan starrer which was running at record pace in some circuits.
