Loveyatri is the love story of Sushrut (Susu)and Michelle (Manisha), which revolves around the festival of Navratri. Sushrut belongs to a middle class family in Vadodara and is constantly picked on by his father for not focusing on anything other than Garba, which Susu genuinely considers to be the most versatile art form in the world. In fact, he dreams of running the world's biggest garba training academy someday. His supporters include his two childhood friends and his mother's brother.
Manisha is a highly qualified Gujarati girl, brought up in London. Her father is obsessed with his UK connect and is therefore reluctant to associate with anything Indian. A chance to trip to India sees them stay back for Navratri. Sushrut and Michelle meet at a Garba event and, in truly filmy fashion, love takes over. Their love blossoms over food, conversations, travel and heart touching moments during the 9 days of the festival. Michelle's father, however feels that Sushrut is not good enough for his highly qualified daughter and points the same out to Sushrut.
An insecure Sushrut reacts by getting into a huge misunderstanding with Michelle, which results in Sushrut and Michelle's blossoming relationship hitting a deadlock. Michelle travels back to UK, away from all the warmth, colour, light, festivities and most importantly, the love that she found in India. Over time, Sushrut realises his error and travels to the UK, to win back his love.
Will Sushrut, a boy who has never traveled outside the state of Gujarat, be able to win over the girl and her father in the UK? Will Michelle understand the importance of following one's own heart?
